Quick Trip

This past Saturday one of my good friends got married in Utah. I really wanted to go, but didn't know how with 4 little kids and no husband. Much to my surprise Jeremy said he could take me! We loaded the kids up Saturday and headed down to Salt Lake. We had a full day planned- first stop- The Disney Store. We can't go to Utah and not go into this fun store. It's one of my favorite things to do. We always let the kids pick out something fun and they have a good time. Our next stop was Chuck E. Cheeses. We were actually trying to find the aquarium, but hadn't had lunch yet and we happened to come across Chuck E.'s The kids are always wanting to go there so we said what the heck. It was really fun!!! We had pizza and the kids got some tokens to play some games.

We even got some sketches drawn of all of us in a little machine there. They were really cute! We stayed there a while and then headed to The Living Planet Aquarium. Our GPS got us lost (the operator probably wasn't working it right) and there was construction everywhere so Jeremy found a back road and got us there. It was really cool.

The girls loved the huge fish and turtle swimming with the sharks. They also had a big octopus and jelleyfish.

In this picture Brooklyn is standing by the electric eels. If you touch this it will shock you to let you feel what it would feel like to be shocked by an eel. It gave you a little zing! They also had a neat sting ray pool where you could actually pet them, but none of us were brave enough to do that. We knew it was time to go when Reese started having a meltdown from lack of a nap and Brooklyn's flip flop broke. So we made our way to the hotel for a short rest and then to find JaNae's reception.

Reese finally fell asleep while we drove to the hotel with fun dip sugar all over her face from Chuck E. Cheeses. I think the kids really enjoyed going to the aquarium. Next stop-JaNae's reception. We had a heck of a time trying to find it, but we made it. There was a ginormous (is that a word?:) long line and I was worried how long the kids would stay there with us, but they did awesome. They were probably so tired from the day we had they didn't have the energy to move ;) JaNae's reception was fun. It was so good to see her. I would've liked to visit with her for an hour and catch up. She was glowing with happiness. Aly also came so we got to visit with her too. It was so good to see them.

After the reception we went back to the hotel to go swimming. The kids absolutely love to swim! When we were done I threw the kids in the tub while Jeremy went to get some dinner. He brought back KFC with all the fixings and it tasted so good. The kids konked out after dinner- they had a jam packed day of fun! In the morning we checked out of the hotel and went to hang out at my cousin Melanie's house. She just had twins about 2 months ago and we wanted to see them. We love visiting Matt and Melanie. Our kids have so much fun with their kids. This next picture is one of Reese holding Gwen- one of the twins. She loved those little babies.
We had so much fun on this little 24-hr. get-away. I guess I will take what I can get, it doesn't happen very often-oh the life of a dairy farmer.......

Piper turns 5!

I can't believe my little Piper turned 5 this month. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was in the hospital ready to add her to our family. Here are a few pictures from her birthday.....

She wanted a chocolate cake of course- our little chocoholic! So instead of just a plain chocolate cake I made her a skor bar cake and she wanted the princesses on top.

So excited for her cake!

Whenever Grandpa is around Stockton can't take his eyes off him. They are cute little buddies. Grandpa couldn't resist putting his hat on Stockton. It was really cute.

Rapunzel shirt, playing cards, and a BIG chocolate bar from Grandma & Grandpa Jensen

New sheets from Grandma & Grandpa Clayson

A Bratz doll

And a brand new bike!

We are so happy to have this little girl in our family. She definately keeps me moving and on my toes!! If you were to look up "free spirit" in the dictionary you would find a picture of our Piper. She is very creative and a lot of times that creativity gets her into some trouble Ha Ha!!( How many times has she cut her own hair?) She also loves to be in the kitchen cooking with mom or dad. Although we have our rough days, as anyone does, I am so thankful for her and am blessed to have her in my life.

Stockton

I can't believe Stockton is already 7 months old. He is getting so heavy. He weighs close to 21 lbs. now! I just wanted to share some cute pictures of him. His cute little smile is contagious.

My sister Lindsay let us borrow this jump-a-roo and he absolutely loves it! He will sit quite a while in it. Here is a cute video of him in this jumper. Jeremy is in the background and he sounds like he is rounding up cattle!:) Every time Stockton would stop bouncing Jeremy would holler at him and he would go to town. It was pretty funny. Enjoy!

It just makes me kindof laugh!

Brooklyn turns 7

This is kindof a late post, but I wanted to write it anyway. Brooklyn turned 7 on May 15th. I wonder where the time has gone. I remember the day I had her very clearly and it doesn't seem like that long ago. Brooklyn decided that instead of cake she wanted carmelitos-she absolutely loves these. So we decorated the carmelitos with real flowers with a little Rosetta figurine. I thought it turned out pretty cute.

I think she talks about her birthday all year long. The kids have fun planning their cakes. After the candle blowing she opened her gifts.

She got a cute Little Mermaid shirt and a necklace from Grandma & Grandpa Jensen

Grandma & Grandpa Clayson gave her a blue pair of sheets (her favorite color) and a framed picture of the Idaho Falls Temple to put in her new room.

And we decided to get this for her. Her own guitar. Jeremy bought me a guitar last summer and I have been learning how to play. Brooklyn will ask me all the time of she can play it and I can hear her in her room making up little songs. So when she opened this gift she was sooo excited. I have been trying to teach her some basic notes, but she has a lot of fun with it even if she can't play yet.

I just have to add this next picture.... Brooklyn decided that she wanted rainbow sherbert for her ice cream. My brother Mark was giving Stockton some and this is the reaction we got.....

It was so funny! After a while he decided he liked it and wanted some more. Overall I think Brooklyn had a pretty fun birthday. She got a couple more little gifts from us- a Hula Hoop and a couple of outfits. We love our Brooklyn so much. She keeps things interesting in our home and is a cute little mommy to her sisters and brother.

Dance Recital

Brooklyn had her dance recital a couple of nights ago. She takes dance from a little place called Movin' Up Dance. She has enjoyed it the last couple of years, although by the time the recital comes around she is a bit burned out I think. Brooklyn did such a good job! She loves getting all dressed up in her costume with her hair and makeup done.

The theme to the recital was Dancing through the Year. Each class had 2 months that they represented.  This costume was for February and they danced to "Love me Tender".

Reese and Piper waiting patiently for the show to start

Her next dance was August and they danced to "ABC' She did so good, and their little class was so cute

This is one of Brooklyn's friends from school and church-Ayesha

This dance was really cute!

The recital only lasted about 45 minutes and all the girls did such a good job!
The Finale!

Brooklyn with her other teacher-Miss Brittnee

We had a fun time watching all of the girls perform. We had some family members come and watch as well! Grandma and Grandpa Jensen, Aunt Michelle, Grandma Clayson, Hallie, and Aunt Katie. Brooklyn's cousin Brynn also takes dance from the same teachers so Aunt Brittany and Uncle Aaron were there as well.

Easter

We had so much fun celebrating Easter. My brother came up from Utah with his family and on the Monday before Easter we got together to color eggs. The kids love doing this....

Our dozen colored eggs

Stockton was just chillin'. He was just sitting in his car seat and he bucked himself right out! That kid wants to get movin'!

We had a fun time and coloring eggs with Brad's family. It was good to see them and catch up. On Saturday we went to my sister Lindsay's house for lunch, and our easter egg hunt, along with decorating sugar cookies.

This is Piper helping me make sugar cookies. She loves to help in the kitchen!

We ate lunch and then helped the kids decorated the cookies. Marci brought the yummy homemade cream cheese frosting and Grandma Jensen brought the candy. I love decorating sugar cookies! These are some pictures of the fun....

The final product...don't they look good?

Next came the big Easter Egg hunt... We had a lot of eggs filled with candy and the kids just scattered when we told them to hunt eggs.

Stockton even got in on the action and got himself some eggs.... he was just happy to be there!

We got through the day of candy and cookies-then came Sunday morning which is a little stressful trying to get to church on time. These are the Easter dresses the girls got and their baskets.

Could you tell we had some drama going on? I COULD NOT get a good picture of all of them in their Easter dresses. We were having meltdowns big time so I gave up on the picture.

This picture makes me laugh! Brooklyn is SO grumpy but yet she is still trying to smile. The look on Reese's face just cracks me up. She is a little poser! In the end I didn't get my picture, but we had a nice weekend with beautiful weather.....one of the few we have had this Spring. Hopefully as the girls wear their dresses to church I can get a decent picture of them when they aren't so moody. Is that even possible? Lol!!!
