9 years.....

Today is our anniversary and I find myself thinking about our wedding day-what time things happened, and where we had to be at certain times, things like that and it is fun to think back, but it has gone by so fast! We have been married 9 years.....we have had our ups and downs throughout the years as does any marriage, but we have grown stronger through our trials.

Jeremy and I met the summer before my senior year and we lived 5 miles apart our whole lives. We had mutual friends and the first time we met a group of kids were going boating. I didn't really want to go, but my friend called and said they were already on their way to pick me up. Jeremy's laugh and personality were contagious. He kept us laughing the entire day. He tried to teach me how to water ski with no such luck and I still tease him to this day about his teaching tactics (baby steps & you have to squat!) :)! We went out one other time after that but nothing really came of it. I finished my senior year and went to Ricks and about that time he was leaving for his mission in Texas. After 3 years we both ended up in the singles ward in Shelley after going through some individual tough trials. We got re-aqauinted in June and began dating in August of 2001.

We had so much fun together and we became pretty much inseperable. We got engaged in January in Rexburg- we were on our way to a basketball game and the rest is history. We got married on April 12, 2002 in the Idaho Falls Temple. It was kindof a rainy day, but the weather cleared up a bit to get pictures outside the temple.

One of the most special days of my life was being able to marry my best friend.

We went back to the Firth church to have lunch. We had chicken cordon bleu, and crepes for dessert. It was really good and two of my good friends Aly and JaNae- made it down to the luncheon and reception. I was excited that they were able to come.

My reception was beautiful! I had so much fun planning things with my mom. My colors were pink and lavendar with accent colors of blue, green and yellow. They were really pretty spring colors. Jeremy's sister did a beautiful job on my bouquet for the reception with big star gazer lilies. Everything turned out exactly how I wanted.

This is my wedding cake. Isn't is amazing??!!! I had so much fun coming up with designs with my wonderful mother. She made this cake and I absolutely LOVED it! I had a Mickey and Minnie snowglobe that I wanted on top of the cake and she figured out how we could do it without it falling over and breaking. My mom is amazing and her visions of decorations for her daughters' weddings is unreal. She has an incredible attention to detail. My awesome cake was definately a highlight.

Nine years have flown by. We have 4 beautiful children that remind us how blessed we are every day. I am so thankful I found a good guy to marry! He keeps me laughing every day and he is a very good dad to our kids.
