Water, Water, Water

Saturday was one of those days where my kids were in their suits all day long and we went from place to place playing in the water. We started the morning out planning to take the boat out at Jensen's Grove, but when we got there it wouldn't start. Jeremy and his dad tried to fix it with no such luck. Grandpa Clayson brought Savannah, Hallie and Kate with him and we had our 4 kids. Since we couldn't go out on the lake the kids wanted to play in the water.

Our niece- Savannah

Our niece- Kate ( I couldn't get our other niece, Hallie out of the water long enough to get a picture)!

At Jensen's Grove they have a little beach and the girls had fun playing in the sand. Until some really annoying boys came and started throwing mud at us. It was time to go after that!
Our next stop was in Shelley. We had a pool party to celebrate Mark's graduation from BYU-Idaho. Congratulations Mark! We are so proud of you. We love you! My parents got out the little pools and put up the water slide. The kids only went down it a few times before they started playing a super hero game on the grass. It was a little overcast and windy, but it was still hot and muggy. We stayed there for a few hours visiting and laughing.

Last stop- Aunt Corinne's house for Hallie's birthday party. They have a little hill in their back yard, so they put some plastic down the hill with some water and made a slip 'n slide. They kids had a blast-even a big kid!(Jeremy got in on the action).

The kids love it when uncle Jeremy joins in on the fun. They were laughing and splashing and having a great time.

Getting the slide ready!

Aunt Corinne got in on the fun too! She ended up pulling some of the kids down the slide in a sled. :)

We had a fun but long day. The kids were exhausted when we finally made it home. They always have a fun time when we get together with family and cousins.

July 4th

I love the 4th of July. It is one of my favorite holidays! We always have so much fun celebrating. While watching the fireworks I always find myself so grateful to live in our beautiful country. On the 3rd we got together with Jeremy's family to eat and watch fireworks. It was fun to visit with everyone while we waited for it to get dark. Here are a few pictures:

Stockton was so content to just sit on the blanket with me

The next day on the 4th we went to the annual 4th of July Jensen pool party. The weather was perfect for some fun in the water. We had hamburgers, salads, watermelon, homemade rootbeer (my favorite), and  some snacks to eat during the pool party.

Here's Reese- she LOVED the water slide!

This is Brooklyn- I love this picture! Doesn't her face tell the story of pure joy in the summer?:)

Stockton and dad- don't worry he will be first in line for the slide next year!

Austin and Brooklyn- such cute little cousins

This is a picture of my nephew, Kaden. The poor little guy broke his femur and wrist a couple of weeks before this. He was in a huge cast and in a wheelchair. He was a good sport though. He got to have a water gun and shoot all the cousins as they ran by.:)

We had a full day of fun. We played volleyball and horse golf. Michelle and Mark had planned a scavenger hunt that was a lot of fun for the kids. They got a lot of treats!
Michelle and her friend Brittney and Reese. They were dividing out the treasure from the treasure hunt
They had bubble wands that they ended up using as light sabers! :)

I just had to include this picture. This is my niece Megan. She apparently loved the rootbeer! It made me laugh.
These last two pictures are of Stockton and they were just too cute to leave out. He is so sweet and content.
I love this little boy!
We had such a fun day. There was a lot of eating, visiting and laughing. We always have a good time when we all get together!Posted by Picasa

Quick Trip

This past Saturday one of my good friends got married in Utah. I really wanted to go, but didn't know how with 4 little kids and no husband. Much to my surprise Jeremy said he could take me! We loaded the kids up Saturday and headed down to Salt Lake. We had a full day planned- first stop- The Disney Store. We can't go to Utah and not go into this fun store. It's one of my favorite things to do. We always let the kids pick out something fun and they have a good time. Our next stop was Chuck E. Cheeses. We were actually trying to find the aquarium, but hadn't had lunch yet and we happened to come across Chuck E.'s The kids are always wanting to go there so we said what the heck. It was really fun!!! We had pizza and the kids got some tokens to play some games.

We even got some sketches drawn of all of us in a little machine there. They were really cute! We stayed there a while and then headed to The Living Planet Aquarium. Our GPS got us lost (the operator probably wasn't working it right) and there was construction everywhere so Jeremy found a back road and got us there. It was really cool.

The girls loved the huge fish and turtle swimming with the sharks. They also had a big octopus and jelleyfish.

In this picture Brooklyn is standing by the electric eels. If you touch this it will shock you to let you feel what it would feel like to be shocked by an eel. It gave you a little zing! They also had a neat sting ray pool where you could actually pet them, but none of us were brave enough to do that. We knew it was time to go when Reese started having a meltdown from lack of a nap and Brooklyn's flip flop broke. So we made our way to the hotel for a short rest and then to find JaNae's reception.

Reese finally fell asleep while we drove to the hotel with fun dip sugar all over her face from Chuck E. Cheeses. I think the kids really enjoyed going to the aquarium. Next stop-JaNae's reception. We had a heck of a time trying to find it, but we made it. There was a ginormous (is that a word?:) long line and I was worried how long the kids would stay there with us, but they did awesome. They were probably so tired from the day we had they didn't have the energy to move ;) JaNae's reception was fun. It was so good to see her. I would've liked to visit with her for an hour and catch up. She was glowing with happiness. Aly also came so we got to visit with her too. It was so good to see them.

After the reception we went back to the hotel to go swimming. The kids absolutely love to swim! When we were done I threw the kids in the tub while Jeremy went to get some dinner. He brought back KFC with all the fixings and it tasted so good. The kids konked out after dinner- they had a jam packed day of fun! In the morning we checked out of the hotel and went to hang out at my cousin Melanie's house. She just had twins about 2 months ago and we wanted to see them. We love visiting Matt and Melanie. Our kids have so much fun with their kids. This next picture is one of Reese holding Gwen- one of the twins. She loved those little babies.
We had so much fun on this little 24-hr. get-away. I guess I will take what I can get, it doesn't happen very often-oh the life of a dairy farmer.......
